About Austro-Pro
Austro-Pro was established early in 2007 to supply Thailand’s ever-increasing demand for high quality, convenient food products.
We offer a wide range of products, all of which are detailed in full on this website.
Our purpose-built bakery is housed in a modern complex on the outskirts of Bangkok, where it provides fast and easy access to expressways and the nearby Don Muang airport.
All our staff have been carefully chosen for their experience, dedication and love of the job. Teamwork and flexibility are qualities we value especially highly.
Ordering our products
Products may be ordered by phone or fax, or via this website. The minimum order is 3000 baht. Orders should be placed at least three days prior to the required delivery date, although urgent deliveries can sometimes be facilitated by prior arrangement.
austro-pro: the history
Austro-Pro was founded by Gerhard Wammerl. An Austrian by birth, Gerhard began his career with an apprenticeship at the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna.
On completion, he furthered his experience by working for some of Vienna’s most exclusive hotels:
In 2002 Gerhard came to Thailand and joined Amari Hotels and Resorts in the position of Corporate Bakery and Pastry Chef. His responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of preparation and quality control at each of the company’s fourteen properties.
Finally, Gerhard left the Amari Group in 2007 and founded Austro-Pro: Your partner in convenient food products.
